Professional cleaning, or prophylaxis, is a procedure for the removal of plaque and calcified tartar from around the teeth. The tartar and plaque can build up over time and, if they remain untreated, can cause gum disease and other oral health issues. As this progresses, it can cause increased teeth mobility and generalized tooth loss.

To prevent gum disease, professional cleaning is recommended every six months. At Four Lakes Dental, we will provide you with the highest standard of care.
